Evaluating Desire for and Provision of Gender Affirming Medical Care in the Nonbinary Community: Patient and Gender-Affirming Medical Provider Perspectives

My name is Katelyn Regan, I am a gender-affirming therapist, LGBTQ community member, and doctoral candidate at Widener University who is beginning to recruit for my research study.

I’m currently recruiting participants for my research study who identify as nonbinary, genderqueer, or some other gender identity outside of the binary, who desire medical interventions to align their physical body with their gendered sense of self. I am especially looking for participants who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color across the United States.

I am hoping to reach individuals ages 18-29 years of age who are willing to share their experiences in accessing gender-affirming medical care. Participation in the research study is completely voluntary. Participants will be asked to answer questions about their desires for gender-affirming medical care via a 45-60 minute video interview on Zoom. If you choose to participate, you will receive a $25 gift card as compensation for your time and participation.

This research study is completely voluntary, and you may terminate your participation at any time.
If you would like to participate or have questions or concerns about this research study, please contact the principal investigator, Katelyn Regan at krregan@widener.edu, or my faculty advisor Dr. Pamela Lannutti at pjlannutti@widener.edu, and note that you found this listing at pridecenter.org. Thank you for your interest.
